Twen-teen

Once upon a time there was a little girl.  And quite a cute girl at that!

And you know what this little girl did?  She kept having birthdays!  Can you believe that?  Birthday after birthday after birthday.

And in between those birthdays she was oh-so-busy!  She did all of the things a little-girl-who-wanted-to-be-a-big-girl does.

She played with Play-Doh.

She played basketball with her brothers.

She rode bikes.

And for the last 6 years she has been a teenager.  But suddenly I realized that next month she'll be having another birthday.  And suddenly she won't be a teenager anymore.  And suddenly she'll be....TWENTY.  And suddenly....that's...wow.  Twenty.

Suddenly I realize how really, really, really, really, really fast time has gone by.  And that I'm not ready to have ZERO teenage siblings because that means life is going way too fast (hey, I'm the oldest and have to think about these things!).  Therefore (and yes, this is patent pending and subject to copyright laws, trademarked 'ME'): I have created a new number.

TWENTEEN

Twenteen allows for me to pretend that my widdle baby sister is actually this big:

Instead of this big:

Which means that when we celebrate her birthday next month we'll have to celebrate super duper extra super size humongous since it will be her real last year as a teenager (gratitude in advance to the scientific community and Urban Dictionary for accepting my application for 'twenteen').  And she's done so many amazing things that we truly do need another year to celebrate those 'teen things' before she officially leaves behind those pesky teen years and begins working on her official third decade Earthside.

Happy month-before-your-birthday, Lil Sis!

Whooooo's Super?

Fall is my favorite time of year--the leaves, the weather, the colors, the food, it all just makes me so happy.  And what better way to celebrate Fall's first holiday than dressing up, eating candy, and hanging with family?
Okay, maybe throw in some pumpkin patch fun too!
